What to tell us
Start with the jobsite location, machine make and model, the affected function, and whether fluid is actively leaking. If it is safe to do so, record the hose markings, approximate length, routing, and both end connections. Keep a removed assembly available and note where each end connected. We will explain any measurements or photos needed during follow-up.
Never use your hand to search for a hydraulic leak. Shut the equipment down, follow its manufacturer-approved pressure-release procedure, isolate the area, and follow the operator manual and site spill plan.
Matching the hose to the job
Similar-looking connections are not necessarily interchangeable. The hose and fittings must suit the pressure, fluid, temperature, and equipment movement. Length, routing, and minimum bend radius matter too: a replacement should not be twisted, pulled tight, or left rubbing against edges or moving parts. Equipment and hose manufacturers’ specifications guide the final assembly.
